My name is Greta Baier. I am 12 years old and I live in New York City. I have a rare congenital muscle disease called Nemaline Myopathy. This causes me to have weaker muscles than others, which affects my ability to do many things, even as simple as getting my phone out of my pocket. I can’t stand, walk, or breathe independently, and have a wheelchair to help me get around, and a ventilator to help me breathe. Gretability is a way for me to share with and teach the world what living with a disability is like, and inspire people that might have similar challenges to me. I am finding the ability in disability.
